How to choose taxi dispatch software
The right dispatch system should run the whole shift, not just store bookings. Use this checklist to evaluate live operations, mobile workflow, finance, integrations, reporting, and data migration.

Start with the dispatch shift
Do not let the demo stop at a clean booking form. Ask each vendor to run a realistic booking from intake through assignment, passenger update, driver workflow, payment, and reporting.
- Check whether unassigned work, active trips, and driver supply are visible without refreshes.
- Ask how the system handles a late driver, edited pickup, failed payment, and passenger call.
- Verify whether assignment recommendations are explainable.
Inspect the money workflow
Payment processing is not the same as transport finance. Operators need card attempts, cash reconciliation, refunds, ledger rows, account invoices, driver payout state, and dispute review.
- Ask how payment events connect to bookings and driver earnings.
- Review corporate invoices, statements, and account disputes.
- Confirm that cash and terminal payments are visible to finance teams.
Score the switching plan
Most failed software projects are switching failures, not feature failures. Require a data import, mapping, reconciliation, and readiness plan.
- List the exact data sets that must move: passengers, drivers, vehicles, fares, accounts, bookings, and zones.
- Ask how the vendor validates import quality.
- Pilot with live dispatcher workflows before the final go-live date.
